Many biomarkers are continuous and there are many families of standard
models. We will thoroughly investigate the biology behind your
target and also the relationship of the measurement to the target.
This is essential to ensure the mathematical model is an accurate
representation of the biological reality.
Some example pharmacodynamic models which we have worked on include:
- Effect compartment models
- Turnover models for endogenous substances
- Irreversible inhibition models for enzymes or receptors
- Signal transduction models for downstream biomarkers
- Network models for combinations of agents or
multi-targeted agents
